Found a quote in 'Man, oh Man': Most contemporary readers aren't going to enjoy something structured along the lines of 'Vanity Fair'.  I think this could be where I'm going wrong. I've started work on 'True Minds' and I'm trying to seriously reduce the word count. Oh dear, how hard this is! Every minor character suddenly seems indispensable to the plot. I had an e-mail today from Torquere to say that they'll take 'One Elf Too Many' as a Turn of the Screw novel. I am so pleased! It's a story I'm very fond of but it's a bit - quirky. I wasn't sure whether anyone else would like it, but Michelle obviously does. This is the first full-length thing I've had accepted.
